So, nu but once again time for NEN post;)
Had my last day of work yesterday and now I have my first 30 days (for 2nd visa, are still missing 60th ..) together. Juhu!
I survived 6 Weeks in fu **** g Bundaburg!
So, after Frank and I arrived to Surfers Paradise here in Bundaburg the life of a Fruit Pickers enjoy, I could no longer feel like blogging.
Quite simply because there was simply nothing to post and there in this dump!
Bundaburg is a Steadtchen where one goes to work and that was it.
The hostel, probably the best in the whole city, is the Cell Block hostel. After all, some 150 people here and reasonably clean room. Kackerlaken in the kitchen, mind you in the Grosskueche are quite normal but what is all ran around here is really not nice.
On the whole, not bad and always a party at the pool and the bar when weather permits.
I came in a 10-room mixed in with all sorts of nations.
work got me and Frank in about 4 days.
Frank could pick up nuts and I could go on a farm with 7 other people planning a Geweachshauses the roof without fall protection at 6 feet und nur auf der Regenrinne bewegend ;) Den Job hab ich nach 3 Tagen geschmissen weil ich nicht Lebensmuede bin und mir nicht das Genick brechen wollte fuer die paar Dollar...
http://picasaweb.google.com/LordLinse/FraserIsland?feat=embedwebsite#
Also blieb ich in Bundaburg.
Das dumme war nur dass ich ne EVIL Erkealtung and fever had and that's no fun at around 38 degrees in the Green House to create a fever ... It was one of my days, I hear most have somehow survived ... The subsequent Mandelentzuendung lasted about a week and I was then KO really because I could feed all the time and I have nothing erneahrt only tea and air and love:) Enough rumgejammert it, I survived in the end anyway ...
After 3 days, but was closing because of the farmers first and had not enough work has miteingesponnen parts of his family had helped him, so were superfluous Fruit pickers and we came back on the standby list.
meantime I've then changed the room from 10ner room in a 4-bed room from Two reasons: first
was 12 in 10 can not fall asleep because clock operation steandig and always people in and out went the need not to create, and thus not get up at 4:30 clock in the morning had. Because of a road in the room as the brothel was just think about.
second We only had a fan in there and it was always too hot in the room and you can hardly kip. In the new room (only 4 men), I had air conditioning, 2 televisions, DVD players, Kuehlscrank, X-Box 360 and NEN pile of DVDs .... :)
Here's the proof:
standby list is the list in the hostel ausheangt every night with the work list by 8 clock in the evening and everyone can see where and when he works at neachsten day. The standby list is just the list of people who do not have the job for neachsten day and are just on standby ...
I then picked watermelons for 4 days ... :) What a crazy job, but ideal for me because we have only worked about 4 hours and I have teaglich gefuttert all day these delicious melons!
was sorry, the job after some nervous weeks around and I was back on the standby list. Then I could start again from Steve Barazzos cucumber farm:) And there I stayed even until yesterday, or about 4 full weeks now!
The farm consisted of 2 large cucumbers Geweachshaeusern and Verpackungshuette. All around there was a small house, a pasture for the horses, the paddock and plenty of free land.
The Farmer Steve is about kite as most farmers here, of Italian descent and has a German wife (the parents are German, she was born as Steve in Down Under). So do not wash genuine Aussies, but very friendly and very fair to us and their workers what they can not claim any farm in the area. In slavery, the farmers can do to you what you want because they know that there are enough backpackers are the absolutely need a job ... but not so Steve, who was fully OK and a very nice guy.
morning at 6 clock could enjoy a magnificent sun Situated In ...
Paar Minuten speater:
Ryann, der Schotte mit which I had managed once again only Bleodsinn in the head;)
Oh man, sometimes there were strange-shaped cucumber, because you just had watching stupid;)
how it works: You take Szissors (small sharp scissors) and then you make "snap ...
... and cucumber is off!
All you do is about 100 times per line and there are enough ranks since. Then it'll pack and ran to the ships do. As is done on an assembly line as I say as only. Pack cucumbers over 5000 within about 4 hours is really hard work!
Packing:
Du verschweissen Gurke in Plastikfolie:
Du jagen verschweisste Gurke durch Heissluft-Ofen:
Du nehmen grosse Tuete und machen 15 Gurken rein:
Dann du verschliessen Tuete und legen Tuete in grosse Karton:
Und dazu du machen ein Dummes Gesicht ;)
Natuerlich machst du das alles nicht alleine sondern im Team. Wir sind rund fuenf Leute mit dem Farmer, unserem Boss of the tackle with, so to speak and work in the chord to have dispatch the goods to 14 clock.
About 60 of these plastic bags with 15 cucumber inside, fits into a big box and on average we make 2-6 large bins (boxes) full, depending on how many cucumbers were picked ... so you can calculate yourself how much cucumber in hand produced ...
Links of Engleander James Hanna, whom I named only Mr. Bond and shares the right of the bulkheads of my passion for good house music and together we are the cucumber response:
The work was leassig and hard times but always good-humored people and music in the ear have helped more about the dates ... and of course a decent breakfast in the morning:
We usually arrived by bus from the hostel to work, sometimes we were allowed to own but also drive a small bus was about to fall apart ...

Taken as a whole, I am glad to have it all around and I had wonderful days here. Get the job and especially miss my buddies here when I move towards Fraser Iceland neachste weeks.
Monday, I start with my first diving course at the International Tauchlizens get, plus 1 day theory Aerztlicher Investigating, 2nd day of training in the pool and 3rd and 4th day out in the sea that about 15 KM away from here ...
Neachsten Friday, we go from there to Fraser and I hope for good weather to make the tour by 4WD able to ...
CONCLUSION:
I had fun at the big poker game night in the hostel where times just 15 people have played, I had fun with my colleagues James and Ryann with whom you have evening destroyed a Jug or is dead drunk at the WE in the morning from the village disco staggering home, I had a hot affair with a half-Indian from Scotland with which I always made with tomatoes, cucumbers, I have had many nice moments in the last 6 weeks here in Bundaburg ....
But I'm so glad that the trip soon finally goes on because by now after all this time here in Bundi I notice that my back that grabs wanderlust and travel further, I must at last and soon the Frank again see, for Stopfsocke I've been missing when I him to come to the West Coast.
Until then, the first diving course enjoy and hopefully not drown!
Cheers to the world out there and let it get you!
